Does an eye cream work for wrinkles?

Does an eye cream work for wrinkles?

The skin around your eyes often shows the first signs of aging: crinkly skin and fine lines.  This area will respond to the same power ingredients that benefit the rest of your facial skin - proven powerhouses like retinol and peptides.  So it's possible to treat your eye area with the same power products you use on the rest of your face.

The skin around the eyes, however, is thinner than the rest of your skin and has fewer oil glands. It therefore tends to be drier.  If you have mature or dry skin or are seeing those first signs of aging, additional rich moisture can really help improve texture and appearance. In this case, an eye cream with power ingredients is a great idea.  Why use two products when you can use one? We formulated Renew Balm with this in mind.

If your skin is normal to oily, additional moisture may not be needed - and in fact it can contribute to milia and breakouts.  In this case, a light power serum or lotion may be your best bet.

Be sure to read labels!  Many eye creams only offer moisture without the power ingredients that make a measurable difference in wrinkles and crepey skin.  Choose one that gives multiple benefits and you will see results!
